Am I a part of the cure or am I part of the disease?
Yes, these are words from a Coldplay song that I love. Clocks. To the person sitting next to you right now there will be a different meaning to this song. As I sit and write to you, I am taking these words literally and applying them to the state of my health – and I ask myself this question. I urge you to ask yourself it, as well. The time is here to do great things; to live our life to the fullest. This question and those below beg me to become more mindful of my health.
What is the state of my health?
To what am I predisposed?
What more can I learn about this?
What can I do to help myself?
Am I taking responsibility?
Curse missed opportunities.
Have we missed the opportunity to take better care of ourselves? Firstly, we need to figure out what this means to each one of us. ‘Taking better care’ for me may be different than ‘taking better’ care for you. For me, it may be getting more sleep I go out often and for you it may be to go out more often as you have been inclined not to. A missed opportunity can be in our way thinking. We can often take so much time thinking about ‘the bridge we haven’t crossed yet’. Perhaps it’s ‘time’ to get a check on where we are at in life on many subjects and ask ourselves more questions.
Am I bringing a solution to the problem or am I making things worse?
How important is this to me?
If it’s so important to me in what ways can I give it more energy?
Is there something I need to give up to not miss out on opportunities?
To me, there are many metaphors that suggest a sense of urgency ‘closing walls and ticking clocks’ is just one of them.
Are we doing the best we can to help ourselves? The ‘time’ is now…
